Ham & Mushroom Quiche
Ingredients for Pastry
120g butter, chilled
200g plain flour
1/4 tsp salt
10g icing sugar, sifted
1 egg
Filling
1 onion, chopped
80g Buttom mushroom (sliced)
100g ham
125g milk
100g whipping cream
2 small eggs
120g Edem Cheese (shredded)
Salt & black pepper to taste
Method
1. Place butter, salt and icing sugar in a mixer bowl and mix slowly till
resembles breadcrumbs. Add beaten egg at low speed and mix.
Refrigerate for 30 mins.
2. Fry chopped onion till fragrant. Add mushrooms and ham till lightly brown. Set aside.
3. Mix milk, cream, eggs, salt and pepper till well blended. Set aside.
4. Preheat oven 180 deg C.
5. Half bake the shell for 15 mins on the middle rack.
6. Spoon filling into pastry. Pour milk mixture to about 90% full.
7. Bake for 30min or until golden brown.

Spongecake
Bake spongecake in the morning using bakingmum spongecake
recipe. It is a very simple and fast recipe to make. From mixing till baking, all done

Cornflakes cookies again
My elder girl has requested me to bake for her, her all time favourite cookies, to celebrate her birthday tomorrow. Since I did not bake any cake for her, I have to grant her wish. So I went out just to pick up butter, flour and cornflakes to make this cookies specially for her. She was so happy and offer to help me too. While making, she can't help smiling and give me several pecks on my oily cheek....
The cookies were done within 2 hours and all packed into container for her to bring to school to share with her classmates.
Ingredients:
300g Self-raising flour
1 Egg
240g Butter
180g Fine Sugar
1tsp Vanilla Essence
1 big box of cornflakes (325g)
Cherry for decoration (optional)
Methods:
Mix butter, sugar, egg till sugar melts.
Add vanilla essence
Add flour slowly (bit by bit)
Add in crushed cornflakes.
Make it round and place a bit of cherry in the middle.
Bake in 160deg C for 30-40 minutes or till golden brown.

Since young, I have been seeing my mum learning baking and
cooking.Whenever she was backed from CC, we will get to taste
all the nice food. When i have my own family, i started to
bake and cook. Since then, i got to know a few baking kakis.
I was inspired by their creativity and willingness to share.
